Welcome

Non-Resident Nepali Association–National Coordination Council, The Netherlands (NRNA-NCC, NL)
Love and dedication to the motherland on the part of fellow citizens give us a sense of satisfaction. Nepalis, anywhere in the world - irrespective of profession - want to contribute to the socio-economic development of Nepal. Every Non Resident Nepali represents Nepal abroad.

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) aims to foster closer relationship and cooperation among the NRN communities spread all over the world and also between the NRN community and Nepal. The Association always strives to contribute to the overall development of Nepal. It represents and promotes the interests of Nepali both in Nepal and abroad.

The Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) refers to people of Nepali origin: those who have acquired foreign citizenship and those who currently hold the Nepali passport and have been living outside India and Bhutan for a period of more than 182 days. The NRNA is guided by the motto: "BY NEPALI FOR NEPALI".

Its objectives are to:

  • Promote Nepal and generate support for its interests in countries of their residence and at international organizations.
  • Facilitate and attract both NRN and foreign investments in Nepal.
  • Strive to create conditions conducive to investment by the NRN in Nepal and the utilization in Nepal of the talents and skills of the NRN.
  • Foster closer co-operation among the NRN communities spread around the globe.
  • And function as an international forum for the promotion and protection of the interests of the NRN communities both in Nepal and abroad.

The National Coordination Council of the NRNA in The Netherlands was established in December 2005. It aims to achieve the objectives mentioned above. It is officially registered in The Netherlands according to the Dutch law. The current Executive Committee of NRN – NCC NL comprises 13 members and was formed in February 2008. It works closely with other organizations in The Netherlands that are contributing to the development of Nepal. The NRN-NCC NL appeals to all Nepalis living and working in The Netherlands as well as to friends of Nepal to support the initiatives of the NRN-NCC NL regarding Nepal and its citizens, living abrod.
